The amount of comedic talent in this country is staggering. I come to the Halifax Comedy Fest and reconnect with comic’s, meet new ones, and am reminded that we are a specific species. We are in a unique club of humans who are almost magnetically drawn to a stage to make people laugh. Not just doing it online, but live in a room full of real people. Our journeys are different but somehow the same. We have concerns, dreams, and moments that only another comedians can appreciate. In a world promoting more artificial art, I’m glad the authenticity of live performance still exists. Comedians and the audiences that gather to laugh at them are a reminder that you’re not alone.
