Three years ago, I tracked down Excenia Knights, a.k.a. Rude Girl, the first female Reggae en Español artist. He spent his childhood surrounded by Hispanic culture, inspired by directors like Patricio Guzman, and Pedro Almodovar who present their culture with nuance, challenging assumptions people have about the Spanish speaking world. An unforgettable mini production trip. I arrived in Panama without having met anyone who was going to help me with my shoot. You all made not only make me feel welcome, but we quickly became a great production team. A week would never have been enough time. I hope that the trip was the next step in a larger project that will bring us together again soon. Un mini viaje inolvidable. Llegue a Panamá sin haber conocido a nadie que iba a ayudar con mi rodaje. Rápidamente no solo mi hicieron sentir bienvenido pero convertimos un equipo de producción buenísimo. Una semana nunca hubiera sido suficiente tiempo para conocer un lugar nuevo. Espero que el viaje era el proximo pasito en un proyecto amplio que nos va unir de nuevo pronto.
