Y’all know I like talking about logos. Here’s a cool one from the wild days of 2021. How long ago was that anyway, ten years ago?
Oklahoma Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra was a group of wonderfully talented musicians and event organizers who put on world class performances all around Oklahoma City. OVCO brought a shared musical experience to listeners of all ages, backgrounds, and aspirations. I saw it happen with my own two eyes.
@okvirtuosi reached out to me about creating a new logo for their organization. This ended up being one of those situations where the final product didn’t turn out anything like I had originally intended, but in the best way possible. After our initial meeting, I did my due diligence of research and conceptualizing, excited to show off all the cool ideas that came out of the brainstorming. I had shown up to the next client meeting with a sketchbook full of potential logos, ready to go. While showing these ideas to the board, the music director, Tomasz Zieba, skipped to the back where my warm up sketches were. He asked about a series of triangles drawn on a random page. I told him they were just triangles. He told me it was the new logo. Sometimes, that is how a logo gets made.
Although OVCO is no longer operating, I believe the work still stands the test of time, and the live performances I was exposed to through our partnership still leaves me in awe.
Also included are a few alternate logo concepts, as well as some soft branding guidelines I worked within to build their programs and advertising material. I’ll save the best of those those for a future post.
Big ups to @kkbokc for giving me the opportunity to work with such cool folks!
Does your organization need a new logo? Maybe even just an updated logo? Like I said before, I like talking about logos. Maybe too much. Hit me up in the DMs and lets get a project going.

I love getting to do cool art for cool people.
My friends at Lettering Express recently reached out to me for some Halloween illustrations. The final product turned out so cool I felt inclined to share it with you all.
@letteringexpress is a locally owned branding and vinyl graphics shop out of my old hometown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
They wanted some rad custom lettering to get amped up for Halloween, and like all of the best clients, they were wide open to all sorts of ideas.
After sketching up a host of concepts, the clients decided which ones worked best for them and then I set out to work on creating the finished art. All pieces started from scratch as rough pencil sketches before being finished as vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator. Vector illustrations are a very flexible form of digital artwork, using math instead of pixels. Vectors work at all sizes and are suitable for a lot of applications, like decals, window lettering, mugs, screen printing, and more.
In the end, I was satisfied with the finished pieces and was stoked to receive a care package of decals when the project was over. I’m digging the shiny ones, maybe because I’m so easily distracted by shiny things. What a fun project.
With holiday season sneaking up behind us, are you in need of some custom artwork? Y’all, that’s my jam. Hit me up in the DMs for your graphical needs.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you know that early Friday morning, Olive the Cat peacefully released herself from her physical form, ascended the astral plane, and traveled to that great rainbow connection in the sky.
She enjoyed sneaking chicken off of the table, getting drinkies from drippy bath faucets, and sitting in my lap while we watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, which we think were her favorite tv shows.
On her way out, she told me to tell you how important it is to protect the smaller and weaker folks in your life, and to love those around you with the resolute urgency of now.
Olive the Cat was 14 years old.
