Volume One is officially here! I’m calling it the deluxe special edition because in my heart it is very deluxe and very special, but also because I added 10 pages of story and BTS content and I’m just overall very proud of this thing.
Going into this, I thought putting together a collected edition would be a breeze as the hard part had already been done, but the process of getting everything perfect (and I really, really think/hope I got everything perfect) actually took a long time and was at times quite tedious. Who knew? I’m not sure if it’s in spite of or because how long a process it was, that this is definitely the proudest of anything I’ve ever done or worked on by a huge margin. Not to be too corny, but something about seeing the finished graphic novel in my hands was pretty magical, even with any of the insecurities I have about the book. Anyways, Volume 2 is nearing completion too (sort of), and I think it is better in almost every conceivable way, pretty much from page one onward.
