Wahhh no way is it Art vs Artist 2024?!?! Where’d time go? Time! Time? TIME WHERE R U This year has been so, so much fun! I don’t really know where to start. It’s been such a big LEAP for my art journey. I’ve enjoyed creating more and also exploring other mediums too! I’ve started painting more in acrylics as well as venturing more into silly digital stuff and tried making little animations, even some with …FOUR WHOLE FRAMES! Groundbreaking, I know! 💥 I didn’t leave behind my silly little GEOMETRY KIT though! I’ll never get tired of angles and circles 😂 there’s little Easter eggs in each painting if you can solve them. Particular angles, numbers, etc. if you can it’ll be mighty impressive but I also feel like it’s kinda impossible since they’re only very specific numbers to me - so please don’t do it ahaha it’ll be a bit of a waste of time! 😅 My favourite bit of this year has been seeing you guys! My heart is so full! It feels like so much empty space between cons and events because I miss you! Honestly I am so grateful for all of the support and kindness you’ve all shown me. I think no matter how many years I do this, no matter how many years I am able to walk on this little earth I will forever be overwhelmed and full of gratitude 😭💕 i can’t believe you guys like my artwork - it really just blows my mind! Drawing mobile suits from the Gundam universe started off so nerve-wracking but now, at the end of this year they’ve become my favourite thing to draw! NZ-666 KSHATRIYA It’s Kshatriya! A little art study of this big ol’ mobile suit while I cannae sleep. It was so much fun working on this one. I learned a lot from painting this and my last Kshatriya painting. Thinking about light and how much I want to either reduce the concentration of watercolour paint, or completely omit paint altogether, to depict light intensity has been so useful for future projects too! ^^/ I continue my journey to paint all the suits! ALL OF THEMMMMM! >:D Since I was a kid I always loved looking at mechs on tv, then vehicles in real life! I like to imagine that cars and trains and planes are these massive sentient metal monsters that come to life with electricity, with the ability to crush anything in their paths! I love looking at blueprints and ways things are built. I’m not actually good at building things myself but I’ve always been fascinated with geometry and shapes! Geometry has always been my favourite branch of mathematics. I still remember the Thursday when we learned about the Pythagorean theorem, the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines, and the Monday we learned about bisecting angles at school! Geometry really made the rest of maths so much more fun for me ^^” But that’s what it is! These mechs, these mobile suits, they’re kind of like giant mosaics of shapes! The angles are so much fun to draw and match together! AND CIRCLES O HOW I LOVE U! In my larger paintings I usually like to hide silly numbers in each one! Eg, the angle of one thing might have an association with the angle of another thing… it’s all really silly and truly madly deeply difficult to even make heads or tails of it but it’s so fun to embed into each one! ^___^✨ Thank you for staying with me as I busy myself with work, con prep, drawing and keeping on keeping on! 💕 Have the most wonderful week guys! ZEON WANTS YOU! 🔥👈🔥 A while ago, I was lucky enough to try screen printing for the first time! I chose to create a Principality of Zeon propaganda-like poster featuring none other than the man, the myth, the legend himself, Char Aznable!! 🔥
 This was such a fun and delightful process! It’s been such a long time since I picked up a new medium and I absolutely loved this! 💕 Each print is made by hand in multiple layers, with different screens! If you scroll through the image slides you can see some photos of the process. I ended up with 15 A3s that came out well! Because they’re all handmade there were many that didn’t quite make it to the end, for various reasons, such as: misalignment of layers, varying paint opacity depending on how hard I was able to press, and in this case, because of the number of layers and text and straight borders, it all needed to line up super-precisely and in parallel with the edges of the paper, which proved to be SUUUUPER DIFFICULTY LEVEL 99999999!!!111 What I found really fun though is seeing the 15 finished pieces and seeing their uniqueness! There’s a few where the paint has not completely run through in some layers and it’s caused this shadowy/hazy effect that looks so cool and worn! (Like a ye olde poster!) I’ll be bringing these to MCM Comic Con London if you’d like to take a look! Any remainder will also be at UK Games Expo (UKGE) ^^/ Because these are made by hand and are of a small run that won’t be repeated, they’re a little pricier than my other prints. Go Mega Starmie!!! use Stale Burger Toss!! >:O to any and all badness, a questionable stale burger!! who knows just what horrors lie inside that misleadingly soft and fluffy bread jacket! :O Amidst con prep and my regular job I felt compelled to draw this. After a long and arduous battle, a little Z’Gok drifts peacefully in the waters of a secret alcove. He likes to lie on his back and float, watching the sky as it turns from the pale blue of washed denim, to navy like a suit blazer, to then BURST into illumination as the moon sprinkles tiny darts of silver over all its fibres! The blazer shimmers and dances, corpseless, amongst the sleeping clouds! The sparkles reflect in Z’Gok’s mono-eye like a quiet firework display. He dreams of being up there with the stars 💫 I wanted to create a watercolour painting that felt peaceful. Like one where you look at it and it feels like the feeling of a soft blanket against the skin on a cold day ^^ I tried a few different blue paint combinations while creating this and settled with this green-blue gradient. I hope you guys like it! 💕 I think this little patch of water is a secret location that only this little Z’Gok knows about though 👀! I wonder if one day he’ll invite us all too!
