In grief, in anger, in joy, and in fear this story and the people I get to see and work alongside everyday have carried me in ways often times too heavy to explain.
There are many worried that maybe I’m pushing myself too far but this journey and this story have been a lifeline in chaos, and my faith has grown on levels I never imagined.
I thank God daily for this gift, for this story, for this journey.

Unlearning is a form of becoming ✨
When I moved back to the UK in 2017 to pursue a career in acting and theatre the lessons came thick and fast. As a UK performer I used to box myself in with rules, trying so hard to get it right when mistakes were always part of the process
Looking back now as a performer, creative and multifaceted woman there’s so much I wish 2017 me knew. Since I can’t tell her, I’ll share it here instead
✨ You’re no good to anyone if you’re not good to yourself. Booked and busy means nothing if you’re burnt out. Rest, reframe, and protect your energy
✨ Early on I just wanted to land the job. But acting isn’t only about credits, it’s about alignment. Saying no makes space for the right yes
✨ Boundaries matter. When you don’t own your voice, people will try to write your story for you. Know yourself, protect your narrative, and speak up
✨ And hair—yes hair. I started my career with short natural hair but convinced myself it only had a place in certain spaces. Truth is, our industry still has work to do here but that should never stop you from celebrating, loving and advocating for your crown

I feel like we don’t talk about the part in our creative/performer/healing journey when we start to think that’s it’s all too good to be true… For me, I know this cycle all too well. beginning- doubting-stopping & beginning again.
But the fact of the matter is:
- I am worthy of good things.
-I attract good things
-I may not be in charge of the outcome of my gifts but how I take care of them still matters.
- self sabotage is just your comfort zone disguised as protection. step beyond it.

I used to think my “dream job” was the story, the songs, the part.
I know now that my dream job was safety, acceptance, love, support, trust, and joy.
At the height of my doubts God sent me this job and these people & for that I’ll be forever thankful.
