So the news: I’ve written and performed a 22min one-woman play, which received a standing ovation from my peers and thesis board. This marks not only the completion of my thesis project at one of the top drama schools in the world, but also a huge life goal of mine ever since learning about Whoopi Goldberg’s one-woman show, “The Spook Show.” I always thought: wow that’s soooo courageous to put your all into a project, your voice and name into an original project, to bare all on a stage by yourself & make a name for yourself. It is my understanding that @whoopigoldberg put herself on the map, she launched her own career and didn’t wait for someone else to give her a yes. Better to make your own table than beg at someone else’s any day👊🏾
So, it’s official: Ya’ girl is set to graduate from @lamda with an MA in Classical Acting!
Next steps:
1. One more Shakespeare production to go as an ensemble at LAMDA.
2. Extend the one-woman play to a full 45min-1hr play, so I can shop it around to theatres. Keep an eye out❤️
3. Continue writing my screenplay and series. Yes, I’ve been working on both.
4. Of course, I’ll audition for other projects, just not sweating the outcomes 😘

Heaven received an angel yesterday. Earth was left a legacy. My heart broke when I heard the news of #ChadwickBoseman passing. I loved him. He was the epitome of art from the moment God wove him together in his mother’s womb to the manifestation of his gifts that we all were blessed to witness first hand. We can learn a lot from taking the “harder way,” the road less traveled, the narrow path. When God has a calling on your life, it is yours! Sometimes reaching that calling might bring us home sooner than expected, it might leave millions with broken hearts at your departure, but you fought the good fight and now earth will forever be a better place because you were here.
