What an incredible FIRST Championship to end off our second season.
As a part of the Goodall division, we were able to play with and against some amazing teams from all over the world during Qualifications. We ended up pushing our way to the 5th rank at the end of Friday, with a 9-1 win record and the 63rd highest OPR in the world.
Going into alliance selection on Saturday, after a long night of scouting, we were super excited and grateful to become the 4th seed captain and pair with @hive25943 as our first pick and @alexanderrobotics as our second pick. In our very first playoff match, we were able to put up 493 points with no penalties (578 in total), breaking the division high score and setting the 5th highest match score in the world at the time. We pushed our way through to Playoff Match 12 out of 14, which is where we ended our day and season off. We had an amazing time playing with our alliance partners and were happy to form such a great alliance.
We'd like to congratulate the DECODE World Champions and Inspire Award winners, alongside everyone else who made it to the Championship. We had such a great time meeting and talking to everyone like we did last year, and we are looking forward to hopefully seeing a lot of you again in the BIOBUZZ season!

Ever wonder what it’s like when robots throw down in an epic arena showdown? Let’s dive in!
At competitions, we compete in what’s called the “arena”, which is where the robots drive and score, in an attempt to win against the opponents. There are multiple areas where robots are able to score, or interact with the colored “samples.”
The center of the arena is called the “submersible.” This is where robots are able to collect samples, either their alliance color or the yellow ones, and use them for scoring.
Robots can either drop samples into the baskets on their alliance’s side (higher baskets earn more points), or deliver the alliance-colored samples to the human player in the bigger box on the other alliance corner.
Once the robots exits the human player’s box, the human player is able to attach a “hook” onto it, creating a “specimen.” After the human exits the box, the robot is then able to pick up the specimen and hang it onto their alliance-colored bar.
Once the game is close to ending, each alliance robot can go to the “ascent zone,” and by pulling themselves up at each bar, they are able to gain more points, and the higher the bar, the higher the points.
