Having to prove yourself more than a man would have to is tiring.
I sing for over 10 years and I have so many stories where men disconsidered me/used teaching as an excuse to touch me/ discouraged me because I am a singer (cuz singers aren't musicians anyways right?)
One of the stories is from a couple weeks back, when I wrote a song with another man and I did the chords myself. The moment we showed it to the supervisor(teacher), he kept only talking to the guy about the chords, while ignoring me, even after I tried to include myself in the conversation.
