As I’ve had a lot of new followers join the party lately, I thought I’d introduce myself. I’m Ben, a designer and engineer based in North Yorkshire, UK. Hex started out of my obsession with bikes, metalwork, casting, 3D printing, and designing highly detailed patterns. My aim is to create unique components that last—and some that even look better with age. I make things in small batches to keep quality high and maintain that custom feel. This is not a retroperspective of my @actofive_cycles PTrain I posted a while ago. This is my new bike from the same brand. No it’s not the 32“ wheelish one - it’s the 29“ variant of the iTrain. Also CNC milled from a big block of aluminum and glued together afterwards. Also made in Dresden, Germany.
As this is size S2 it’s a lot more compact than my S3 PTrain. It’s a very versatile frame with flipchips and a lot possibilities to tune the geo and ridefeeling. A little less polished than the PTrain but also a shiny bike with lots of silver parts and a nice play of contrasts - silver/black. 🩶🖤
