Install shots for a project I did last semester called hide n seek
A series of 32 naively painted landscapes and still lives arranged in a shifting sequence. All paintings were made with the same 8 paint colors on sulphite drawing paper my grandfather kept after my grandmother passed, some of it smelled a little mildewy. I hid something under 5 paintings in the sequence, sometimes a leaf sometimes another painting. Helicopters appear throughout the landscape, I wanted the sound of helicopter blades to feel inescapable even in scenes without them. No way to avert your gaze, itās always there.
