I’m so sad to hear Canopy Club has closed! Canopy was the first big stage I ever played on. My first direct support slots, my first headline show. It all started with that first Wednesday Night Wompdown in the void room.
I’ll never forget those sticky floors, or the smell of weed in the green room, or the way my heart would race every time I pulled up to the venue. I was born on that stage. Those nights were more important than my bachelor’s degree. I’m sorry I didn’t make it back in time to show you Hexadevi.
