Rooted in a refined painterly technique that balances hyperrealism and subtle deformation, the works establish a dialogue between classical rigor and contemporary sensibility.
Faces partially concealed, fragmented, or transformed become sites of tension, where the recognizable slips into ambiguity, echoing the uncanny dimension of the image.
Through harmonious compositions, cinematic references, and a delicate interplay of form and atmosphere, He Wei constructs a visual language that is both intimate and estranging-where memory, elegance, and mystery coexist in a state of suspende revelation.
