Gabriela Moad, a St Albans based artist, opened her home studios in September for Herts Open Studios. Gabriela turned her beautiful apartment into a gallery showcasing her oil paintings and her process. "Preparing for Open Studios was great fun, as bringing my work together and displaying it cohesively was really revealing. Welcoming visitors into my space of work, sharing conversations, and seeing some of the paintings find new homes has been very encouraging and motivating." Maybe you might be inspired by Gabriela to take part in Open Studios this year? Herts Visual Art are putting together a comprehensive guide to opening up your home to the public and will support you along the way. Find out more through our link in bio. 💛 #creativecommunity #hertsvisualarts #openstudios #hertsopenstudio

Be The Community That Saved Heath Barn Heath Barn is a 500-year-old Boxmoor landmark. We have until June 2026 to secure it for the community and need your support, after that it could be converted to private housing and lost to this community forever. Imagine a place in the heart of Boxmoor where you can grab a coffee, take a class, bring your kids, meet your neighbours and feel genuinely proud of where you live. Hertfordshire County Council has given an exclusive window to raise funds and demonstrate that Boxmoor wants this building kept for the community. We have until the beginning of June 26. In a time when the arts are being squeezed from council budgets, this barn would provide the community with a much needed asset for music, visual and performing arts and a wonderful space for people to come together. It is worth fighting for! Find out how you can help here: /support-us Please reshare and spread the word. #CommunityFundraiser #heathbarn #boxmoor #buylocal

The Spring Issue of Love Art Magazine is now available through your local arts venues. It is also possible to subscribe and have it sent to your doorstep each quarter for only £12 per year. (link in bio) This issue features painter and ceramicist Elif Lewis. Elif's work is inspired by nature and its effect on human emotions. She is interested in how art represents the connection of the local to the global, how a place and the emotions tied to it can be captured in an artwork which can then be appreciated across the globe. Her work has sold to collectors in Europe, , Africa, America and Asia. Read more about Elif's practice and much more in Love Art, now available on our website (link in bio) #HertsVisualArts #creativehertfordshire #loveart #artmagazine
