Carrying a knife won’t keep you safe ❌🗡️
Hertfordshire joins the national Sceptre campaign (18–24 May) to tackle knife crime. 🚨 Officers will be out across the county raising awareness, engaging with young people, and offering safe ways to surrender weapons.
My office has funded knife bins across the county as part of the Knife Angel’s lasting legacy, providing safe disposal options and supporting ongoing efforts to reduce knife crime.

I was back on Watford High Street following the recent live facial recognition deployment, which led to four arrests that simply wouldn’t have been made otherwise ✅
With no false activations and strong safeguards in place, this technology is proving to be both effective and responsible 🔒
I’ll continue monitoring it closely, but the results speak for themselves 👀👏
