We all have a responsibility to keep her flame burning bright. To make sure 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 girl dreams big, knowing that her spark is worth protecting. By just FIVE years old, many girls begin to doubt their capabilities, underestimate their potential and lose faith in themselves. They start to believe they’re not as good as boys and feel less than. The unconscious bias of society extinguishes their dreams. This #InternationalDayOfTheGirl, we urge you to Reflect. Challenge. Advocate. It’s unacceptable to let this culture persist - one where girls feel like they don’t belong in sport. In 2024, do we really accept the inequality in sport? The lack of opportunity for girls?! It’s time demand change and #DoItForHer Every one of us carries unconscious biases that hold girls back, whispering “No, not you.” Yet the fire in her heart asks, “Why not?” 1 in 2 girls drop out of sport by age 20. Girls feel they don’t belong. But we must close this gap and help her see beyond limitations. When the world is silent, even one voice can be powerful. 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 voice has the power to change 𝗛𝗘𝗥 future. It’s up to each of us to keep her flame alive. Challenge the status quo, demand change, and believe in her. When we do, she can light up the world. #DoItForHer How can you help? 1. Share this campaign and #DoItForHer 2. Consider becoming a Her Sport MVP as we strive for equal opportunity in sport (link in bio or members.hersport.ie) 3. Find out how you and your workplace can support the Her Sport Foundation (email [email protected]) #DoItForHer 🎬: @_debshaw

ɢɪʀʟꜱ ᴡʜᴏ ᴘʟᴀʏ ꜱᴘᴏʀᴛ, ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴡᴏᴍᴇɴ ᴡʜᴏ ʟᴇᴀᴅ. The facts speak for themeselves. This October, we will be OFFICIALLY launching the 𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, our not-for-profit arm, which will continue our work to elimiate the barriers that exist for girls and women in sport because girls who play sport become women who lead. The Foundation will focus on Community Impact, Advocacy and Research to: - Support educational workshop delivery in schools and sports clubs - Provide financial support to athletes and sports teams for equipment, travel, kit and other essential needs - Fund critical research in women’s sport to advocate more forcefully for systemic change in policy and culture. - Lead powerful advocacy and visbility campaigns that dismantle gender bias and challenge societal norms. If your business would like to find out more, support the Her Sport Foundation and or buy a table at our Fundraising Dinner please contact 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻@𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁.𝗶𝗲 or DM us and we will get back to you! All story shares and comments appreciated. 💚

Every girl and boy should feel like they have equal opportunity in sport. Right now 50% of girls drop out of sport by the age of 20. That’s not good enough. The value of sport extends beyond the sporting arena - 94% of women in executive managerial positions have a background in sport. ɢɪʀʟꜱ ᴡʜᴏ ᴘʟᴀʏ ꜱᴘᴏʀᴛ, ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴡᴏᴍᴇɴ ᴡʜᴏ ʟᴇᴀᴅ. Ashley Paulson, a mother of four, has broken the world record for 100 miles on a treadmill 🤯🔥 She ran for 13 straight hours and shattered the previous record by roughly 90 minutes. THIS is what women in sport are capable of. 🎥: @ifit

Chloe Kelly has joined Adidas. 👟⚽️ After famously celebrating with her shirt off during the 2022 Euros final, and showing off her Nike sports bra in the process, Chloe became associated with Nike. She’s been one of the brand’s biggest faces in women’s football but has now switched sides to join Adidas. Already playing in Adidas kit at Arsenal, Chloe is used to wearing the three stripes. Now we’ll see the on her boots and trainers too.

Women’s sport is projected to generate more than $3 billion in global revenue in 2026 📈🔥 That marks a staggering 340% increase since 2022; a reflection of the growing audiences and increased investment across women’s sport. Sponsorship continues to play a huge role in that growth, with brands increasingly recognising the value and potential of the women’s game. But continued investment in athletes, pathways, and opportunities will be crucial to keeping that momentum going. And right now, there are no signs of it slowing down. Stats via Deloitte.

May is Mental Health Awareness month, and girls who play sport are 2.5 times less likely to suffer from mental health problems. Here’s the thing: 1 in 2 girls drop out of sport before the age of 20. They aren’t given the same opportunities to stay in the game. At Her Sport, our mission is simple. We aim to give girls the opportunity to thrive in sport, and protect their mental wellbeing. If you’d like to support us, you can donate to The Her Sport Foundation via the link in our bio. If you’re not in a position to donate, a follow goes a long way towards our mission. Thank you. 💚

The Golden State Valkyries of the WNBA have become the FIRST EVER women’s sport franchise to surpass the $1 billion valuation mark - and they were only founded in 2025. If this isn’t a sign that women’s sport is the future, we don’t know what is. 🤑✨
