A year ago, I almost gave up before I even began. I was nearly scammed trying to learn how to make lip gloss, didn’t get what I paid for, and was left discouraged. I had no job, no money, and so many fears — would people even buy?
Is my product good enough to make someone choose me over Sephora or any of the bigger brands?
Living in a small city where I barely knew anyone, everything felt like a stretch. But even with all that fear, I started. Scared, unsure — but I started.
My first $20 came from my little sister to buy things I would need to start my business. Then came love and support from my family, a friend who loaned me money, the girlies at church, friends abroad, and even strangers. I’m still overwhelmed by the kindness.
Today, Her Majesty turns ONE, and I am deeply grateful.
