One of my favorite scenes from @messylolashow — and honestly, one of those moments that reminded me why I love directing.
There’s nothing like taking a strong scene on paper and pushing it all the way into something lived-in, layered, honest, and real. Watching these two incredible actors, @cyncityforever and @anthonyfleming3rd lock into this moment the way they did was special.
As a director, these are the scenes I live for — the ones where performance, writing, timing, tension, and truth all meet in the same place.
Big love to our brilliant writer @hereiskevindouglas for giving us such rich material, and deep gratitude to the cast and crew who helped me bring this vision to life.
So thankful to have served as Executive Director on a project I’m genuinely proud of.

Cynthia Kaye McWilliams is Lola, who is an expert at managing the mess—just not her own. She’s a reluctant mother, a flighty romantic partner, and perpetually annoyed by her insufferable coworkers.
This is a fully independent project self-funded by Cynthia Kay McWilliams herself through her own platform, ccp.studio. Kevin Douglass serves as the writer for the series, Blake Martin is the Executive Director, and produced by CynCity Productions; McWilliams production studio.
’Messy Lola’ is now available to watch with brand new episodes releasing bi-weekly.
