CW: Substance Abuse. (Not by intent.) "Adrift" I am a work in progress. There's a lot in this piece to improve on, technically. First comes play. Sequence built starting with the corporeal mime repertoire. #actor #movement #physicaltheatre #devisedtheatre

Headshots by the wonderful Elodie Giuge in Cambridge. ("Fun one" at the end just because.) Elodie was really communicative before, during, and after the shoot, working with me to get a set of shots we were both happy with. This included outift recommendations before I even got to the studio, compiled in a personalised mood board. I highly recommend working with her. @elodieg_businessphotography @elodiegphotography

Show in Covent Garden this week! Pavel Kohout's Poor Murderer to be performed by adult students in the John Lyon's Theatre, directed by Sean Croft (Lecoq, East 15). /e/poor-murderer-tickets-634658589927 Poor Murderer Anton Kerzhentsev, (in)famous actor, proving his sanity, and guilt, to the staff at a psychiatric clinic. A company of actors is brought in, the stage is set, and Anton's life story is performed for the professors at the clinic. This ensemble piece draws inspiration from ancient Greek theatre, Wes Anderson, and Pink Floyd's The Wall, cut through with modern naturalism. I've been studying for an Acting Diploma at City Lit for the past year. I've been making the most of this part-time course, relearning skills and re-unlearning habits. It's a first step back into performing after some years. Notes on performances in the John Lyon's Theatre: *No cash sales or payment taken on the door* – tickets need to be purchased in advance *The eventbrite listing closes about an hour before the performance* The theatre is just inside the City Lit building on Keeley Street, between Covent Garden and Holborn tube stations There is a short interval but there are no refreshments on sale (there is water available in the building)- so if it’s hot or you want to bring a soft drink with them to do so (sealed container advised) late comers might not be permitted, so allow time to get here
