“What I love about the need for HER Campaign is how practical it is.” @garethgilkeson shares the practicalities of how @hercampaign fights human trafficking. It starts with bricks and mortar, real places and real homes. We have a vision for more homes like these to go across the nation. The need is there. Homes where women can be rescued, sheltered, and restored. And there is the people. People with talent, education, compassion, and passion to help bring healing. It’s simple. It’s tangible. After years in music, Gareth said he longed for something he could see: A wall that wasn’t there, and now it is. Four more walls. A roof. A home. A place where women can walk a pathway from devastation to healing. This is the work we’re in: building safe places for women to come to. Homes filled with hope. Spaces where restoration becomes possible. And we can’t do it alone. As we enter the holiday season, we are facing an urgent and growing need. Due to federal funding cuts, more survivors than ever are reaching out for the kind of healing care we provide. By mid-2026, we anticipate: — 360 referral calls/month — Up to 78 survivors per month needing immediate stabilization. To meet this demand, we need the help of our supportive community. Join our supportive community or reach out to us today—link in bio. Together, we are building what healing requires. ✨ #hercampaign #endhumantrafficking #humantraffickingawareness

For the North American dates on The Wake World Tour, we’ve partnered with HER Campaign. HER Campaign walks alongside survivors of human trafficking, offering safe places to land and the care needed to begin again.  From emergency support and safe housing to trauma care and community based support, they help rebuild lives step by step. $1 from every ticket on these runs will go directly toward helping survivors find safety, healing, and a path forward.  If you’d like to learn more, you can find their information at the link in my bio.  See you folks very soon…

In 2016, we saw the gap and we could not ignore it. Survivors of human trafficking were stepping out of exploitation with nowhere safe to land in those first critical moments. So we opened one safe house. But we quickly learned a bed is not enough. Survivors need immediate stabilization. Compassionate care. A place to breathe, to begin healing, and to take their first steps toward freedom. What started as one home has grown into a movement, one that empowers survivors and strengthens the entire anti trafficking response. We exist to stand in the gap, coming alongside the incredible organizations doing long term restoration work. Because when emergency stabilization is done well, it becomes the bridge to lasting healing. Now we are working to expand these life saving services across the nation so that when a survivor makes the brave decision to leave, there is a safe place ready for her. This is more than housing. It is dignity. It is safety. It is a pathway to restoration. And every survivor deserves that. Trauma doesn’t just affect one life, it impacts generations. Without intervention, cycles of instability, exploitation, and system involvement often continue from one generation to the next. But when survivors of human trafficking receive stabilization care and long-term support, everything can change. Healing interrupts the cycle. Families become more stable. Children have a different future. Entire family lines can experience transformation. This is the level of impact we’re fighting for every single day at HER Campaign. Not just rescue — restoration that lasts for generations. Thank you for believing in this work and standing with survivors. 💛 If you want to help us provide life-changing care and long-term support for survivors, partner with us today. 👉 Visit the link in our bio to give and support HER Campaign.

Let’s talk about the economics for a minute. When survivors of human trafficking don’t have access to stabilization and care, they don’t disappear—they become high utilizers of public systems because it’s their only option. We see repeated ER visits, law enforcement involvement, short-term shelter cycling, and long-term public assistance. These are some of the highest-cost interventions we have… but they’re reactive, not restorative. And the numbers tell the story: 📊 Emergency department care alone costs the U.S. over $80 BILLION every year, with more than 107 million visits annually (HCUP-US) 📊 The average ER visit costs hundreds to thousands of dollars—and can exceed $2,700 per visit depending on care needs (ScienceDirect) 📊 Up to 60% of ER visits are non-urgent or preventable, pointing to gaps in access to proper care (NCQA) 📊 The U.S. spends over $100 BILLION every year on food assistance (SNAP) alone (USAFacts) 📊 More than 42 million Americans rely on this system monthly—nearly 1 in 8 people (Pew Research Center) 📊 The average household receives benefits month after month, often with no long-term pathway to independence, highlighting how cycles of need persist without deeper intervention (Food and Nutrition Service) This is what happens when systems are forced to respond to crisis instead of create stability. Because when a survivor has access to structured, long-term care, everything shifts. Stability increases. System utilization drops. And over time, individuals move into independence. This isn’t just a moral issue. It’s a systems efficiency issue. And we have work to do. We need YOU to stand in the gap with us. Join us. Link in bio.

Labor trafficking is often overlooked, but that doesn’t make it any less real. It can hide in plain sight, in everyday industries, affecting individuals who are being controlled, underpaid, and exploited. This is still trafficking. This is still slavery. Awareness matters. Knowing the signs can make the difference in someone’s life. Take a moment to learn more and check out our resources in our bio. Share this, start the conversation, and stand with us as we bring light to what too often goes unseen. Like. Share. We’re on the ground at the @gritwyo conference this week, surrounded by incredible leaders, advocates, and organizations fighting human trafficking. It’s been powerful, humbling, and deeply inspiring. But one thing is clear: while there are many vital services represented, from advocacy to criminal justice, there is still a major gap. Housing and long-term stabilization for adult survivors. In fact, we are one of only two organizations here providing housing solutions for adult survivors. This is where you come in. What we’re building isn’t just a safe place for the moment, it’s sustainable, life-rebuilding support for women and their children. And the need is urgent. If you’ve been looking for a way to make a real, lasting impact, this is it. Partner with us. Reach out. Ask questions. Be part of what’s changing lives in our communities. #EndHumanTrafficking #SurvivorSupport #HousingMatters #HERCampaign #GRITConference

For many survivors of human trafficking, stabilization must come before long-term care, and too often, that critical step is missing. That’s why we stand in the gap. At HER Campaign, our 8-week Stabilization Program exists to meet survivors right where they are—providing a safe, wraparound environment where spiritual, physical, and mental needs are cared for as they begin to regulate and heal. From this place of stability, over 60% of those we serve are able to transition into long-term aftercare or even independent living, which is over two times the national average. This is why our stabilization program exists… Because true, lasting restoration starts here. 🤍 #HERCampaign #AftercareMatters #HumanTraffickingAwareness #TraumaInformedCare #Restoration SurvivorSupport

Human trafficking doesn’t always look like what you expect. It often hides in plain sight—built on control, fear, and dependency. 🚩 Someone not allowed to speak for themselves 🚩 No access to ID, money, or communication 🚩 Appears fearful, anxious, or coached 🚩 Sudden gifts, older controlling relationships, or frequent hotel stays 🚩 Youth showing withdrawal, running away, or secretive online behavior 🚩 Workers facing unpaid wages, long hours, or threats if they try to leave Trafficking can happen in neighborhoods, schools, hotels, businesses—even online. It’s not always dramatic. It’s patterned. Awareness is the first step to prevention. When you know the signs, you can help interrupt exploitation and connect someone to safety. If someone is in immediate danger, call emergency services. You can also contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text 233733. 👉 Learn more and access resources through the link in our bio. #EndHumanTrafficking #HERCampaign #HumanTraffickingAwareness #KnowTheSigns #ProtectTheVulnerable

At HER Campaign, we are always working towards sustainability, expanding bed capacity, creating safe, high-quality housing, and ensuring survivors receive trauma-informed care that truly supports healing. But even when we can’t offer a bed, we never stop caring. Because every survivor deserves to hear: “You are not alone. And there is a path forward.” Survivors don’t just need rescue, they need continuity of care, trusted guidance, and a place where healing can begin. Whether through our homes or the growing network around them, we are committed to walking with survivors every step of the way. #HERCampaign #EndHumanTrafficking #TraumaInformedCare #SurvivorSupport #HopeAndHealing

Trafficking isn’t always what you think. Traffickers rarely use chains. They use control, manipulation, and deception. ⚠️ Common tactics include: • False promises of jobs, love, or opportunity • Isolation from family and support systems • Debt bondage and financial control • Threats, coercion, and psychological abuse Human trafficking takes many forms: • Sex trafficking – exploitation through force, fraud, or coercion • Labor trafficking – forced work under threat or deception • Domestic servitude – hidden exploitation in homes • Child trafficking – any commercial exploitation of minors Awareness is the first step in prevention. Human trafficking isn’t just something that happens overseas, it’s happening in our cities, our neighborhoods, and sometimes right in front of us. Human trafficking is the exploitation of a person for profit through force, coercion, or fraud. But it rarely starts with violence. It often begins with vulnerability: someone offering love, safety, or opportunity, only to manipulate and control. At HER Campaign, we believe every survivor deserves safety, dignity, and a future filled with hope. The more people who understand trafficking, the harder it becomes for traffickers to operate. Let’s raise awareness. Let’s protect the vulnerable. Let’s be part of the solution. ✨ Download our free resource “What is Human Trafficking” at the link in our bio. 👆🏻 #HumanTraffickingAwareness #EndTrafficking #HERCampaign #ProtectTheVulnerable #BeTheChange
