Nettle Urtica dioica 🌿🌿🌿🌿 Its use dates back as far as ancient egypt and has historical use across many geographical regions worldwide. Its primary use across cultures has been its work as a diuretic and nutritional tonic. Among its many incredible qualities, it has a strong ability to clear uric acid waste, offering relief from many afflictions related to the bladder, kidney and skin. Nettle is also rich in minerals and vitamins, working as an excellent “blood builder” and easily remineralizes our bodies. It’s also an incredible immune and adrenal ally. #learnherbs #herbalmedicine #herbaleducation #nettle

April 27th @thedaisymarket Join us for a day of connection, learning, and exploration as we delve into the rich world of plant medicine. Led by herbalists Melanie Hill and Carley McConkey, this workshop offers practical skills and profound insights for integrating herbs into daily life. Begin with a welcoming meet and greet, followed by an opening ceremony incorporating meditation and introspection. Explore local footpaths on a guided herb walk led by Mel, discovering the medicinal properties of local plants that surround you. Engage in a reflective “plant sit” session. Then, delve into a lecture covering medicine making and building a personal apothecary. In the hands-on portion, blend your own herbal teas under expert guidance. Throughout, connect with like-minded individuals, ask questions, and leave with a deeper understanding of herbal medicine and the plants that surround you. Herbal medicine, often referred to as the “people’s medicine,” offers readily available remedies that grow abundantly in nature and should be accessible to all. Integrating herbs into daily life, from the medicine cabinet to the kitchen, fosters a symbiotic relationship with nature and a deeper understanding of seasonal living. Embracing the accessibility of herbs empowers individuals to take charge of their health sustainably and affordably. We’re dedicated to teaching and building community around herbal medicine, inviting you to join us as we explore herbal remedies, living in rhythm with the seasons, and collective learning. Excitingly, we have opened up three additional spots for our in-person event this Friday March 22 6-9pm at Daisy Market in Clarksburg. @thedaisymarket * scenes from out past events . . #greybrucecounty #collingwoodevents #herbalmedicine #ontarioherbalist
