Feet in straps might feel like a stretch — but that’s not the goal.
If you’re just letting the straps take your legs wherever they go, you’re skipping the most important part: your core.
This series is about control.
• Ribs anchored
• Pelvis heavy and stable
• Legs moving from your center
• Tension maintained the entire time
The straps are there to challenge your stability — not to move you passively through space.
When done right, this becomes deep core work with length as a byproduct… not the main focus.
Less “how far or big can I go”
More “how controlled can I be”
Save this for your next reformer class and keep moving with intention. 💛
Found exactly what we were looking for at Naseeb Studio.
Moving together in a stunning space, sharing a few giggles, and connecting with a room full of wonderful people—it doesn’t get much better.
Thank you to everyone who showed up for themselves (and each other) on the mat!
Until the next one.
Nothing beats the energy of a full room and new faces. It was such a pleasure teaching the girls from @vuoriclothing last week @balanceroomphl
I love how movement brings people together, and getting an invite to visit the shop and pick out a new set is the perfect cherry on top.
Huge thank you to @teaganxvi for the invite to come by the store

✨ Short Box = Core On Another Level ✨
If you really want to feel your core working, Short Box is one of the best places to find it. These movements challenge your deep core stabilizers, control through the spine, and your ability to move with precision instead of momentum.
It’s not about going fast — it’s about staying connected, controlled, and strong through every inch of the movement.
Looking for a challenge in your next class?
👀 Ask your instructor to add Short Box work. Your core will definitely know you did.
✨ Form Fix: Tabletop Legs ✨
One of the most common things we see in class? Tabletop legs that are either too close to the body or too far away. Both can throw off your alignment and make it harder for your core to do the work it’s supposed to do.
The goal: knees stacked over hips, shins parallel to the floor, and your core supporting the position — not your hip flexors or lower back.
A small adjustment here makes a big difference in stability, control, and how effective the movement feels.
Save this for your next class and keep moving smarter. 💛
