Can a restomod Ferrari improve on the original?
The F355 is one of the most loved Ferraris of all time, so to modify it is a bold move. Some might even say blasphemous. But @evoluto_automobili knows that.
Taking the chassis back to bare metal, reinforcing it with carbon fibre, lightening the whole thing by 220lbs (100kg) and giving it 10 percent more power all seems very positive, but to really put it to the test, @HenryCatchpole went to one of his favourite roads in Scotland. You’ll probably want your best speakers or headphones for the V8 at 8000rpm…

Would you have bought one of these in period?
On the latest episode of The Driver's Seat, @henrycatchpole is behind the wheel of a car that doesn't exist, an E46 BMW M3 Touring. Brought to life by @petroyle_ this isn't a restomod, but rather a creation that aims to be as true to what a factory version of this car would be if BMW had put it into production.
The real question is, with demand for the latest M3 and M5 Tourings proving quite strong, why was a car like this not made earlier? Well, turns out they just asked the wrong people.

Three years ago today, I had my mind blown and my internal organs rearranged by the @mcmurtryautomotive Spéirling. These are a few stills from the @hagerty film - I’m pretty certain I’ve never appeared more discombobulated on camera. What an incredible land-based jet fighter/limpet with wheels/automotive achievement.
A few more snaps from the Valhalla launch in northern Spain. Film with all my thoughts and some stunning cinematography by @glennwinhall and @samgriley is on the @hagerty YouTube channel. If you don’t want to see me sitting in a bath, walking through a vineyard or making analogies with the sort of food that @gordongram creates (hat tip to his Valhalla spec) then the short story is that it’s a massively impressive and engaging car that Aston Martin should be very proud of. Good, because Aston Martin's Valhalla is finally here, and @henrycatchpole is driving it.
You may remember a few months ago, Henry had the opportunity to take a prototype of the "Son of Valkyrie" for a spin around Stowe Circuit at Silverstone. While Aston said that car was pretty close to the production model, this actually is one. And we can now experience all 1,064 horsepower on track, and the road.

Ford, Shelby, or RTR, what flavor of supercharged Mustang would you pick?
While Ford’s GTD is obviously the Mustang that has top billing in the current pony car stables, there are numerous options for those that perhaps don’t want (or couldn’t get) something so expensive and track focused. And on the latest episode of The Driver's Seat, @HenryCatchpole has a taste of one of them, the RTR Spec 5. A $160,000 Mustang, sanctioned by Ford, that will go head to head with the new Dark Horse SC and latest Shelby Super Snake.
The brainchild of Vaughn Gittin Jr, this widebody beast takes direct inspiration from Vaughn’s drift car and perhaps gives GTD Touring vibes. But is it a case of all style and no substance?
