Broughton Henge, a new stone circle (erected May 2025), the largest stone just over 5m high, just outside Skipton on Broughton Estate. 'The setting is devised to appear to be as ancient as possible with alignments with the solstices and equinoxes.'

January and February in books read. The Godzilla one is both great and suitably-sized, and I picked up the Gil North because the back cover says he was from Skipton - asked my parents if they knew of him, turns out he lived just across the road from us.

A selection of the many green men lurking in Ely cathedral. Some low quality photos because several were way, way up on the ceiling or otherwise really awkward to see.
Weird light and some are a bit out of focus, but this is everything I've read since February (not sure why I stopped doing this monthly) - I think that makes 44 for the year all in, which is very poor going compared to previous years. Must do better in future (if not I'll probably drown in my to-read piles..) - certainly need to spend less of my time wasting it on here.

Annual tradition - used Emma's bigger and better oven this year so significantly easier than previous years in some respects.

Mushroom, walnut and cashew wellington (with bonus pine nuts)
Roast potato and parsnip
Horseradish mash
Carrots and sprouts boiled together with kale steamed on top, all flash fried at the end in olive oil with black pepper and lemon juice
Lemon sosmix stuffing
Brazil nut stuffing
Packaged stuffing chimera (a mix of sage and onion, apple and herb, chestnut sage and apple)
Cauliflower cheese
Red cabbage slow cooked with beetroot and apple
Bread sauce
Caramelised onion gravy (went on after this was taken)
