New Case Study! Recording sound for Season 3 of PBS’s “Now Hear This” was on of the most fun and challenging shoots I’ve ever done. Check out more at henrirapp.com. Link in bio!
Fairly fast paced shoot today for AARP, so we have the 833 coming out today! Two person interviews was the name of the game, starting the day with a more formal interview, and ending it with a couple quick 1 on 1 conversations. We had 1 recorder, 2 booms, 2 wireless lavs, 4 sync boxes, 2 camera hops, 1 smart slate, & 1 IFB (and all the accessories that bring it together) in play for today’s shoot! Good day!
Interesting nondescript interviews today! The interviews are being conducted by the directors remotely via zoom, so we are feeding a mix from my Scorpio into cameras and my 833 as a USB interface for the zoom call, and the directorial return is routed back to a speaker out of frame so they can have a conversation back and forth remotely. We are also shooting a plate so the boom can be in frame and painted out after the fact for pristine audio!
About a year and a half ago I got to record sound for part of a documentary on Artemis II. Should be out on Nova the 15th! What a cool experience to be a part of! My Apollo met Artemis! #artemisii
