Henk Comics and Warner Bros. Discovery and DC invite you all come to Henk Comics to celebrate Superman Day or better Supergirl Day 2026 this Saturday on April 18th, the anniversary of Superman’s debut! Free comics will be available all day!
In a historic move, DC has announced that Supergirl is officially taking over Superman Day on April 18, 2026. While this date traditionally honors the Man of Steel’s debut in Action Comics #1 (1938), this year the spotlight belongs to Kara Zor-El as we kick off the "Summer of Supergirl."
We'll have FREE Special editions and exclusive reprint comics highlight Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and key Supergirl milestones.
There will also be a few special editions of Superman and Supergirl hardcovers, and these anthologies explore Kara Zor-El’s legacy, including global and all-ages stories.
This massive celebration is the ultimate runway for the highly anticipated theatrical release of Supergirl, flying into theaters on June 26, 2026

@claytoncrain is an American comic book artist known for his work with Marvel Comics, including Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, Carnage and Venom. He has also drawn for DC Comics and Valiant. @claytoncrain is also known for his work with Todd McFarlane, covers for DC, and his unique sketch cover acrylic paintings. In the past several years Crain has worked both digitally and traditionally, and often combines both for his published work.

On Tuesday the 21st of April, Kazuo Maekawa is returning to Henk Comics Amsterdam for a special Masterclass!!
Kazuo Maekawa, renowned manga artist manga artist from Tokyo, best known for his work on Ace Attorney will be at our store for a signing. Kazuo Maekawa Sensei won the Kodansha Chiba Tetsuya Award in 1996. He made his debut as a manga artist in Kodansha Ltd's Young Magazine in 1997. Since then, he has published comics from a number of publishers. “Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney” and “Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth”. These have been translated and sold all over the world!
Inspired by the joy of manga creators, he has since dedicated himself to teaching manga drawing techniques
This time Kazuo Maekawa comes to Henk Comics in Amsterdam Tuesday the 21st of April for a special Masterclass from 12:00 to 14:00 at Henk Comics. He is coming all the way from Tokyo to Henk Comics to share his knowledge and skills with aspiring Manga Artists and Henk Comics Customers.
