Zac joined the volunteer fire department in Magnetawan last October and still continuing his training.
On a volunteer department you go through the same training as career firefighting. It's a lot of hours, very physical, and no small accomplishment.
Volunteer firefighters all over Ontario wake up in the night, leave their family dinners, and put their day on hold to aid their community.
Being a part of something like that is Honourable and big shout out to all those across the country that make an effort to help those around them.
To ALL the first responders, thank you so much for doing what you do.

The Maple Glizzy: If you haven't tried cooking your hot dogs in maple water...do it.
Add about 1.5 tbsp. of maple syrup to about 2.5 cups of water, add to pan and whisk in Add your hot dogs, and boil on medium heat until done.
Bun it up and pickled onions and sauerkraut highly recommended.

Unfiltered and no natural light. To be honest there's nothing about maple syrup in this picture except sometimes a good cocktail, shared with the person you love, goes a long way after a busy season.
The wet boots, numb toes and dozens of little cuts and scrapes are sure worth it.
Thanks to another company I know and love @kvasfbco for the syrup.
Oh and Orville Peck is awesome if you crave a little bit of old school country sung in more relevant ways.
