Boulevards consume you whole You stand as the target Of vast power Of reciprocal awe A space of control The illusion of freedom 7ème Arrondissement, Paris, March 2020 #blackandwhite #archive #everydaycounts

Then I saw The morning light of Paris Pour through and strike me Through eyes once innocent Now tinted by California And I do not look away Musée du Louvre, Paris, March 2020 #blackandwhite #archive #everydaycounts

I’m not here Just looking back To a warm Spring afternoon Before the world closed up And we sequestered In our homes To save each other Paris, March, 2020 #blackandwhite #archive #everydaycounts

Glad I made it back here before the world closed up.. Hadn’t been back for 17 years. Being the only person in the galleries besides the guards was beyond special in this day and age. More pictures of Paris from self-quarantine to follow. #paris #blackandwhite #everydaycounts

Currently in Paris, amidst all of the chaos & fear surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic. Europe is now the center of the epidemic. My timing couldn’t be better; today is day 2 of a trip. Haven’t posted in a while, since Instagram just feels like a massive black hole of content and it doesn’t matter what you put out there. But the archive on my phone is too full, and the sense of life closing in on me from the specter of disease is lending a sense of urgency to the moment. Broadcast whatever you’ve got. Make it good, make it count. Make every day counts. So I’m going back to the roots for a while and solely producing in Black & White. I’m seeking a direct, unambiguous feel. Color overwhelms, shifts under its own weight. Like this moment, it exhausts my eye. All I want is clarity in the now. So here we are again, taking it from the top. Stay tuned.
