Our local letter carriers collected 14,338 lbs. of donations for Helping Hands over the weekend and our volunteers started sorting early Monday morning!

Your donation will go toward ensuring that our local community has access to the food they need to help them thrive.
Sometimes things show up in bulk. Things like flour, cornmeal, and oats show up in 55 lb. bags - and treats like cookies can show up in large boxes. To make sure we're able to distribute these, our volunteers, and often large volunteer groups, will break those down into more manageable sizes, bag them up, and get them ready for distribution.
Do you have any gently used books from your childhood? Or from your kids? Share them with your community!
Helping Hands has a free little library for kids and teens, and we can always use more books to add to the collection. Donations can be dropped off at 9386 Fruitdale Road from 9 am - 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

Volunteers are incredibly important during our distributions. Volunteers help set up, restock, and clean up after distributions and serve as a friendly face while people do their shopping.
We get tons produce through our doors from donations, grocery rescue, and local farms each year. All that produce has to be sorted before it goes out for distribution and all that sorting is done by our incredible volunteers!

Our volunteers are the core of what we do at Helping Hands. In the past year over 250 community members have given over 14,500 hours of their time to help feed their neighbors. To those volunteers we want to say THANK YOU!
