The Yalta conference of 1945 were Allied leaders met at the Black Sea resort to plan post World War II Europe, emerging from war devastation to shape a New World order, despite tensions that foreshadow the Cold War, all set against the backdrop of Yalta’s Seaside beauty. It was noted by Winston Churchill as the “ Riviera of Hades”
Crimea’s beautiful beaches have become symbolic battlegrounds, sites of both historical warfare and modern conflict, where everyday leisure is shattered by military action.
