Moments like this make me feel so homesick 🫶🏼
Meet little Abubakarr. He was born with two extra toes, which meant he couldn’t wear “normal” shoes like other kids. I didn’t fully understand the impact of one surgery until we went to visit him at home.
After a long drive (through the jungle and past flocks blocking the road) we arrived in Kabala. Seeing Abubakarr at his school assembly, standing there like all his classmates, wearing shoes… that moment said everything. Watching him play soccer without tripping 🥹
In that moment, I was reminded of the ‘why’ 🤍

Een idee dat ik jaren geleden had maar nooit echt van de grond kwam, is nu eindelijk gelukt én gedrukt. Het blijft zo heerlijk om een digitaal ontwerp analoog te zien worden. En nog leuker als je zelf ook de productfoto’s mag maken 📸

The couple that is almost going home home
5 more weeks; honestly I don’t really know what and how to feel about this. I fell in love with this wonderful country, with the people, living in community and being in the Christian bubble. As we are preparing for this new season I created small patient stories book to share with the loved ones back home. Give them a small small sense of the amazing things we’ve got to experience here.
