Miami Magic ✨ premiered at @miamifilm this past weekend as part of the I’m Every Woman Shorts Block.
After getting off a call and learning more about what they were looking to create, I instantly wanted to be a part of this magical little world. I spent my afternoons going to the park and sitting with my notebook to see what creative ideas would come to me, and that’s how our little piñata truck was born.
Then came our little character illustrations, el monito con la guayabera, la tortuga y su cafecito, un doggy con su domino, pastelito piggy, y rumba rooster (a little spanglish, for some Miami dialect).
Fast forward to two years later, I also find myself moving back home to Miami and starting over as our protagonist Nora. This charming little film is a story about resilience and a love letter to family. 🫶

Kí is a modern pastry & dessert studio located in the Buena Vista neighborhood of Miami. The pastry studio creates floral 🌼 focused desserts and cakes, and specializes in Argentine pastries known as Medialunas.
