Let’s take a closer look at all the elements of the wedding invitation suite for Molly and Dan They got married at Markree Castle and Dan’s sister is an artist so I worked with Hannah on the designs. She provided the sketches and I helped make them print ready for letterpress printing and white ink printing - The invitation was letterpress printed and included a sketch of Markree Castle, you can see the little details card here in more detail, this was an idea from Dan which I think is super clever - a little card to keep in your pocket for the wedding weekend, you have all the handy information to hand - A custom wax seal featuring their initials. Let's take a closer look at the wedding invitation suite for Dan and Molly who got married recently at Markree Castle in Sligo, Ireland. We began work on the design with the intention of including sketches from Dan's sister Hannah. In order to letterpress the venue the sketch had to be adapted to make it print ready. This sketch was then carried through the design of the entire suite and used on many other pieces of stationery. The Guinness and oysters sketch was perfect for their day two event where they served both. We decided on a variety of blue colours for the inks, paper and ribbon. The wedding invitation was letterpress printed onto soft, thick cotton paper and was contrasted with a blue with white ink day two invitation along with a clever pocket card for the guests to bring with them to the wedding. This pocket card included all the important information for the weekend that the guests could keep with them throughout their visit to Sligo. This clever addition was Dan's idea and we loved it! Everything was then tied with a blue chiffon ribbon and sealed with a custom monogram silver wax seal and finally contained in an azure blue envelope to tie the blue colour palette together This suite was a dream to work on and the result was one of elegance, classic design with a textured finish. Elizabeth and Cillian came all the way from Florida last summer to celebrate their wedding with family and friends at the beautiful Cliff at Lyons Estate in Co. Molly and Daniel got married yesterday at Markree Castle in Co.
