I started about 3 years ago experimenting more with music that would help people to relax, chill, and calm down. It’s always been a fine line of making music that is subtle enough that it feels like it’s music good for sleep or study, vs making it still interesting enough to connect with on an emotional level. I still can’t help but want to constantly make music that feels inspiring, hopeful, and uplifting. The thing I love most about making instrumental music, is that the story of the song is not set in stone. Its story has yet to be defined. And the author of that story is the listener. I’m always grateful when people reach out and tell me how this music has been part of their life. So if you ever feel like reaching out. I would love to hear from you. In making this videos we wanted to approach it like a live performance. We wanted to use all of our favorite tools to creat a visual mood that was cinematic, moody, and chill with a bit of an energetic edge. Tube lights, strobe lights, a Red Komodo camera and an easy rig we used to make the shots feel stable yet someone handheld. Production life people know that these shoots usually turn into 10-12 hour days. This music video shoot was no different. It was a long day but a ton of fun. Very excited to share my new song that dropped today with @moonwatermusic and @helloroary . I knew from the moment we started writing this song a couple months ago at Dustin's studio it was magic. I've been doing collaborative writing for a very long time now and not every session flows this easily, this one felt effortless. Honored to make this with you guys! Also huge thanks to @ethannathaniel for being a huge part of the production on it. So love your vibe and instincts! Thanks to @gideonboley for laying down the buttery slide work and @boutwells for the tasty Bass work! So good guys! Also gotta give a shoutout to my boy @philipjherndon for crushing the art.
