This is the reset.
Not a rebrand. Not a new coat of paint. Not some polished little comeback story. A reset.
A chance to look at what I started, be honest about what mattered, what didn’t, what I got wrong, what was worth saving, and what needed to be rebuilt from the bones.
The new @hellorhightiki came out of stubbornness, exhaustion, bad math, blind faith, questionable taste, and the deeply unreasonable belief that it could be done better.
And then people showed up.
With tools. Paint. Opinions. Standards. Sore backs. Late nights. Patience I probably didn’t earn. Loyalty you can’t buy, pitch, fake, or dress up in a press release.
They carried the heavy shit.
They solved the ugly problems.
They cared about details most people will never notice.
They believed in the room before the room had done much to deserve it.
That is the part I’ll never take lightly.
Because a bar doesn’t become alive because one person had an idea.
It becomes alive when other people give it their time, their labor, their talent, their pride, and their fingerprints.
To the staff, friends, regulars, and stubborn little army of weirdos who helped drag this thing into the world:

I came through with my crew last night to opening night of Hell or High Water Tiki in its new digs, and it didn't disappoint, with all the drinks and debauchery you'd expect. 👏
The bigger and better space houses two companion bars under one roof, with HoHW in the back and new sister concept The Glory Hole in the front. 😝
The menu is different at each, with HoHW serving up its creative tiki-influenced cocktails and The Glory Hole offering shots, beer and some fantastic cocktails of their own (That Pandan Jungle Bird tho! 🤤).
These two bars are the perfect pair: The Hole is a great spot to wait for a table in Hell, or just chill, play pool and have some great drinks. 🍻

Where to start, this build out has put us all through every emotion possible. We learned. We bleed. We cried. We argued. We had so many setbacks we all wanted to quit. I am not a handy or crafty person, I couldn’t even read a tape measure before any of this. But with countless hours of determination and the same drive we finally pulled it off. I am beyond proud of my team and everyone who got their hands dirty with us. This space is special, it’s unique to each and every one of us. It’s not perfect by any means but it’s OURS.
