Some dreams don’t begin with you.
They begin in the rooms you grow up in.
I remember as a kid, my elder sisters, completely lost in the music of Linkin Park.. singing every word like it meant everything and dancing to it on TV music channels at 7pm every evening and having their CD’s in old computers, some posters here and there, some wallpapers on their old phoned.
And me?
Just a kid in the background only catching a few lyrics, not fully understanding, but feeling something I couldn’t explain. Maybe excitement to watch them dance and smile!
Years later, life brought me to Lollapalooza.
Same music. Different place. Different purpose.
This time, I wasn’t just watching.
I was there, with them, behind the lens holding a few cameras and taking photos in-front of thousands of people attending the show.
The kid who once only understood some words of their songs was now living it.. loving it and experiencing every second, every note, firsthand, frame by frame while working.
“I tried so hard and got so far..”
And somehow, I ended up here.
This isn’t just a post for Linking Park.
It’s for my sisters.
To my sisters, you are the directors.
for the music, for the influence, for always pushing me toward something better..
for planting a dream I didn’t even know I was chasing.
What you once watched on a screen, what once were your wallpapers captured by some one else, today are the wallpaper captured by your lil bro
I got to live and capture with my own hands and now, that means everything.
