Foxing, the genre-defying band from St. Louis, Missouri, brings their powerful live show to Berlin. The concert marks a rare European appearance in support of their critically acclaimed self-titled fifth album, Foxing, released independently on September 13, 2024.
A band known for its dynamic evolution, Foxing’s new album is a bold statement of contrasts—hope and nihilism, chaos and serenity. From the dissonant noise rock of “Secret History” to the fragile, slow-burn tension of “Barking,” Foxing captures the band’s signature intensity at its most raw and unrestrained.
Joining them on stage is Hello Pity, one of Berlin’s most exciting emerging acts. Known for their explosive performances and gritty sound rooted in '90s grunge, Hello Pity gained early attention with their 2019 DIY tape Goodbye Genius. Their debut album, released via Duchess Box Records in October 2023, showcases a bold fusion of folk rock, noise, and emotional depth. Having shared the stage with bands like Magic Shoppe and The Gluts, and featured in the Synästhesie Festival lineup, Hello Pity is carving out a space at the forefront of Berlin's underground music scene.

Hver gang indsamles der for at støtte og hver gang brændes der igennem. Maj 2023 var det ukrainsk punk og metal, der smadrede spillesteder på stribe i Danmark. April 2024 turnerede vi rundt i Ukraine med dansk dødsmetal fra Crown the Beast og det tysk punkband Hello Pity.
Denne gang er det dansk metal, der spiller for global fred! Metal - Fred!
Fra Berlin kommer der storbysdødspunk med Hello Pity og derefter Ukrainske G INC, der nyder stor succes på den ukrainske undergrundsscene med deres transcendentale stoner rock. To af de mest spændende bands lige nu på den danske undergrundsmetalscene afslutter med lyden af ekstremmetal. Trasherne fra Demolizer sparker røv og får hele salen med sig, mens Vulvatorious med deres feministiske slagtekster og rasende trommer er garanti for moshing. Taking notes from My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Raveonettes, Sonic Youth and Loop, the band has a shoegaze sound that flirts with noise rock. Dark, fuzzed-out guitars can wash into soundscapes or crash into a sonic maelström. They balance retro and futuristic music with driving bass and dirty rhythms, mixed with dark vocal melodies. Hello Pity is a Berlin-based band that has quickly attracted attention by generating a frenetic reaction from the crowd during their concerts. They released the DIY tape ‘Goodbye Genius’ in 2019 which brings to mind the gritty era of ‘90s grunge. Their various inspirations span from folk rock to noise which transforms their soundscapes into an artful reflection of the modern musical world. Since their brief formation they have shared the stage with bands such as Lorelle Meets the Obsolete and The Gluts and have been part of the 2019 and 2021 Synästhesie Festival in Berlin. They have been working on an album during the Berlin lockdowns and it’s finally came out via Duchess Box Records in October 2023.

Menk set out with the aim of taking the listener on the deepest of journeys — music made with no compromise — to create a pure spiritual experience, like seeing sunshine through a rainy cloud. This is the main connector of the songs Menk have created as they take you on trips from darkness to light. Exploring textures, never standing still, new sounds and how instruments connect with each other, how harmonics complement each other, how songs change each other is the prism from which Menk views music and also the world.

The recording of this self-written and self-produced album was a long one year journey, which included a boat, an ancient water reservoir, about 12 guest musicians and hours and hours of relentless live rehearsing and composing.
'Vessel' is bold; the message is clear and unafraid, and its essence both chaotic and dark, humorous and melancholic.
Zeug have provided an LP that deserves appreciation in these disparaging times. In a world filled with instant barren gratification through streaming services, short form clickbait sounds designed to capture our attention and to fill our basic addictions, zeug offers a defiant alternative, something imperfect and deeply expressive. Encouraging the listener to take time to experience the beautiful, sometimes uncomfortable sonic world, where chaos and harmony exist together. Anyone brave enough to sit through and experience the whole thing will emerge a changed being. 'Vessel' is available as a double LP for pre-order on bandcamp now - the album will be released on the 21st of June 2024.
