Sculpted for @wsl Gold Coast Pro 2026
I was very privileged to working on this project and feel very lucky to made those special trophies to very special person whoever ride the waves at Snapper rocks with highest performance.
I just want to say thank you very much to WSL to gave me this opportunity to create something very memorable stuff and good luck to all surfers.
It is made by 100% Polyester multiple tinted resin and fully hand ground and shaped .
Concept of Male champion and runner up’s are my image of sunset colours of Gold Coast and also Woman’s of champion and runner up’s are my image of Gold Coast ocean/beach colours.

This is craft without compromise.
I have had a great feed back from people, they saw some of my sculptures as trophy as for WSL Gold Coast pro 2025. My idea of this miniature surfboard made from 100% tinted polyester resin was fully hand crafted to be on your wall never be consumed therefore it will pure piece of art and I always wanted made surfboard for this way.
The idea of “After the party” is basically I used off cut resin used from WSL trophy and I recycled again to make exact same shape which based on some of my surfboard model called “Seventy-seven” pure 70’s spirit. We modified scale down to 60 cm and 40 cm version as handful size.
Finally, I am very happy to share my experience and projecting to surfboard sculpture as wall mount piece of art. I hope those little quivers find some sweet home.

Longest part was over a week of pouring tinted resins because they are tend to heating up so easily once certain amount of volume of resin in pot and it will eventually crack! though I had to be very careful to stack up the resins all together…(maybe need bit of cooling system for next time) and those colour combinations are representing “sunset of Goldie”
It’s harder to hand shape brick of polyester resin than actual polyurethane foam of course but still try to miniaturing 70’s classic shape design was fun experience and always wanted to try it out anyway.
I still have 7 more boards to make before May besides keep making actual surfboards so you won’t see me for next a few weeks haha @takedacustoms
