This is just my opinion but I do find myself being so much more excited to shoot and edit weddings that embrace color instead of trying to limit it!
💍 You do not need to include every tradition in your wedding day.
If you chose to omit certain traditions - father/daughter or mother/son dance, bouquet/garter toss, etc. - your wedding will not be any less special I promise!
💍 Be very intentional about who you include in your wedding party!
Make sure the people in your wedding party photos are people who will be around for the long haul!
💍 Don’t ask for everyone’s opinions.
Some of the best premarital advice I received was “you and your spouse are not a democracy, you are a ruthless monarchy” and I believe that boundary is drawn early on. Make it clear to those close to you that when it comes to you and your marriage, the only opinions that matter are yours.
💍 If you want people to be on the dance floor, you gotta have an open bar.
