I’m trying something new… 👀✨
Still in the trial (and possibly error 😅) stage, but if you’ve been around for a while, you probably know I’m into plants and a little bit of woo woo…
Connecting with you through DIY and crafty workshops has been so life giving, and I’m curious what that looks like combined with my love for the natural world and a little bit of ✨magic✨ energy to help connect us all.
Over the last decade, I’ve spent a lot of time studying plant identification, herbalism, foraging ethics, and making my own teas, tinctures, salves, and seasonal remedies, mostly just from a genuine love of learning and reconnecting with nature. I’m always learning more, and I’d love to start sharing some of that knowledge in a creative, approachable way.
I’m imagining:
- foraging walks + learning basic plant identification
- flower pressing and nature crafts
- candles inspired by our sun signs
- herbal tea blending + little apothecary nights
- seasonal gatherings around creativity + intention
- nature journaling, tarot, folklore, and making beautiful things with our hands
Nothing super polished yet, and not a huge stretch from the Hello Maker you’ve known for years. A moment for creativity, nature, community, and maybe feeling a little more connected to ourselves and the world around us.
If this sounds like something you’d be into, I’d genuinely love to know!
CHANGE OF PLANS! First things first - Hello Maker is still in business (even if I take a big old break to regroup), we will just be offering workshops at other venues in and around London supporting some of your fav small businesses! We’re hoping to get things like Crafty Queen Paint Nights, and Open Studio back up and running regularly, but thanks to costs of rent (and the insane number of problems in the building which are unrelenting) we are just going mobile instead!
HUGE thank you to everyone who has (and will continue) to make my dream of running this business a possibility and we will see you soon!
All my love,
Kirstie
I’ve been spending so much time lately thinking about heirlooms (maybe it’s having a kid, maybe it’s dreaming of leaving the city, idk) but I want to challenge each of you to look around and find 10 things that are special enough and well made enough that you would want your kids (or another generation in general) to cherish and potentially give their kids. I’d probably bet you’d be hard pressed to count 10 things. I think I would be too! So this holiday season, let’s collectively agree to add ONE thing to that list! ❤️ Happy holidays!
Curious about how you can support Hello Maker for FREE? Leave us a Google review!!! We love hosting private team-building sessions and google reviews = more business = more Open Studio! It's a win-win!
Missed us tonight? It’s because Emma and Hayl booked a private Crafty Queen Paint Night for their birthdays!!! We’re back to our regular scheduled Crafty Queens next Friday - don’t miss it! Link in bio!
SPOOKY PUNCH NEEDLE WORKSHOP!
Thursday, Oct 3rd, 5:30-7:30PM
I can't tell you how much I love this medium: it's easy to learn, whips up so fast, and uses up all your yarn odd and ends! We've put a spooky twist and will have lots of seasonal stencils to choose from! Link in bio to grab your spot!
TOMORROW!
Do you live that WFH life? Miss the *good* parts of having a place to work outside of your four walls? Join us at Hello Maker from 10-4PM on Fridays to get that coworking experience (someone will say 'bless you' if you sneeze, and crack appropriately timed jokes.)
We had a pretty good group when we ran this in the spring, and folks have been asking for it back so let's give it a go!
