Today we slammed the door in Cancer‘s face with my final surgery, and, more than relieved, I feel like an absolute champion. ⁣ ⁣ To my doctors, Dr. Jeannie Shen and @drnimaplasticsurgery , thank you for giving me my life and body back. You both took in stride my four million questions and concerns, late night phone calls, and the sporadic panic attack. The gratitude I hold exists only in an infinite space. @shilabeautycenter the every two week lymphatic drainage treatments have given me so much hope and calm amidst the mental noise. To my friends and family, the meals, text messages, funny gifs, hospital visits, and GoFundMe donations lifted my spirits and heart more than you could know. ⁣ ⁣ And finally, to my partner @iamcreans , it can’t be understated that even when coming from a place of total love, there is a very real weight to being a caretaker. It goes without saying that you’ve cooked and administered meds and kept the house, but you’ve also read to me when my eyes were too tired, washed my hair, wiped away rivers of tears and weathered verbal lashings that had nothing to do with you. Simply put but overwhelmingly felt, thank you. I love you 🖤

Hope everyone’s having a blast at San Diego ComiCon this weekend! Throwing it back to when our National Treasure fam took that stage. I’ll never forget the rush 💛

Every Tuesday I am celebrating actors I love!   Today I am spotlighting Lyndon Smith, who first caught my attention playing a flirty college student on PARENTHOOD… and I immediately didn’t like her (she was causing trouble for my beloved Drew and Amy after all)! But luckily for me, I kept watching and grew to be a fan. Lyndon has always had a depth and maturity to her work, and also a life of the party spirit. She understands the best thing she can do to inform her acting is to go out and live her life. Soak up every moment, good and bad… and then when the role calls for it, tap into the well. And if the role never comes up…. Well at least you kept busy. But I suspect Lyndon will be delighting us with stories for years to come. I asked Lyndon a few questions and here is what she had to say: WHAT IS A MEMORABLE AUDITION STORY YOU HAVE? Oh my gosh, my audition for PARENTHOOD. I was still pretty fresh to the industry, and I went into Cami Patton and Jen Lare’s office to read my two scenes. I crushed it. Cami goes, “Great, let’s do the last scene.” To which I said, “Uhh.. what last scene?” My printer had NOT printed scene three and I was completely blind-sided, mortified, with stress sweat beading down my tits. They gave me a few minutes with the scene- a full one page monologue because of course it was- and I went back in to face the guillotine. I had no choice but to be 100% my unplanned, unedited self. Pretty sure I blacked out because I can’t tell you how it went. But I left the audition ready to pack my Honda Civic beater up and head back to Florida to live out my days as a Macaroni Grill waitress. Two weeks later, I got a call that I booked the show. I worked on it for two seasons. WHAT ROLE OR PROJECT THAT YOU’VE DONE ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF? My series regular on PUBLIC MORALS which was produced by Amblin Entertainment. Breast Cancer was not on my bingo card for this year, but the universe had her own cheeky plans. As some of you know, I was diagnosed back in April after a casual feel up ended in me discovering a lump. Yesterday, an incredible team of doctors performed my first of two surgeries, a full double mastectomy, and we will follow up near the end of the year with a second procedure. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’m not really the type to post things of this personal nature, but I want to remind all the girlies out there that breast cancer rates are rising hardcore, especially in younger women. I was only 35 when diagnosed. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ All of this to say- Cop a feel. It’s good for your health. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🩷⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ #breastcancer #breastcancerawareness

Had a low-key birthday last weekend, but I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the well wishes I received and the love that was poured on me. This has been a wild year, and I’m grateful for the chance to grow through another one. Hugs to you all 🖤
