I ordered an SD card reader and tracked the package down after wind blew it down the street so I could get the pics off my digi cam to make a proper post for my bookbinding class 😤 thanks to everyone who came and hung out last weekend, it was my first time teaching a class and I had SO much fun! “All Roads” won the award for Best Editing at the Fourth Wall Film Festival this weekend
I had zero expectations kicking off my first festival run with my first short film and it was an honor just to be selected, but to have my vision acknowledged and awarded among a line up of such incredibly well made films is so fucking cool
I had an amazing time attending the festival with so much support from friends and fam! plus a lil “red carpet” walk to feel like the real deal with my best friend and guide through the underworld @stemwooddesign , watching him and @witching_hazel on screen was awesome, dare I say two roles flawlessly casted 🤩
I know this film is old news to many of you, so much love to all the people who still give a shit

“Rebecoming”
around this time 5 years ago the state of New Jersey approved my name change. I’ve legally been Brígh ever since and this piece was made with the newspaper it was published in.
many were initially unsupportive, while others may be confused as they’ve never known me as anything else. a lot of people, whether supportive or not, didn’t really understand why. I moved to NYC in 2017 and started a new life where no one knew me. I ran around the city for 4 years feeling lost and struggling with my identity just to come full circle and find my way home, embraced by friendships I didn’t know possible and a community I didn’t know existed.
there’s power and freedom in choosing to build something new in a place you felt rejected in, with a fresh perspective after years of feeling disconnected from your own reflection.
all that to say: sometimes it isn’t about becoming something, but rather about unbecoming everything that isn’t.
AND THAT’S A WRAP
(we wrapped last weekend, but I’ve just now come back to reality)
we first talked about doing another film back in July with a wildly different idea for a script, but this project took on many new lives (and deaths) over the course of 4 months. we had some roadblocks, imposter syndrome and tons of editing to do, but we finally made the vision a reality with the best crew I could’ve possibly asked for…truly all roads lead here ♥️
this film is deeply personal to me, and to be able to turn it into art is a dream. and it would have been impossible without everyone’s hard work and dedication. much love, y’all are amazing
