Seeing this raw, intimate visual means more to me than I can explain. I’ve always been so polished, so careful about what I show — especially when it came to my imperfections.
But now, I look back and feel grateful that I did. ❤️
I don’t know exactly how this journey with my body will unfold as it carries me through life’s changes… but I am committed to loving it and sharing it in whatever way feels empowering.
Reaching this level of comfort and confidence took years. And I never imagined I would still have to keep showing up through every shift, every transformation.
Sometimes it makes me want to hug the younger me. ❤️
I hope this inspires you to honor your body — not just when it’s “perfect,” but while it’s evolving.
Because as I step into this new stage of my life… I know one day I’ll look back at this girl and say,
You did that. ❤️

Urban Salina was someone everyone knew one way or another. There's an irony in his name in that he lived in the remote village of Brasso Seco. I met him while on a solo photography expedition into the North. He needed a ride to Arima, which is about an hour or so away. On that ride he told me and my riding partner about his many adventures in the mountains, (where he broke his leg while in the garden and had to wait three days to get help), his time at Forestry Division (?) and the many people he'd met. He invited us to his home for a big birthday party that December and he offered us some mangoes and a zaboca for our "troubles." I found out that he had passed on recently. Rest easy in the eternal hillside gardens Mr. Salina. One day, I'll make it to your birthday party.
