Seeing triple?
Presenting the three parts of Robert Burton, author of The Anatomy of Melancholy: the Reverend, the Doctor, and a boy named Bobby. For four hundred years, they've been reading over our shoulders, trying once and for all to answer the question none of us can shake: Why are we so sad, and what are we supposed to do about it?
May 22-June 6 @ IATI theater in the East Village. Tix in bio.
Up Your Ass, led by director Malena Dayen, is Valerie Solanas’ long-suppressed 1960s classic—an unapologetically bold and sharply satirical work from one of radical feminism’s most provocative voices. With biting humor and explosive dialogue, Solanas tears into gender roles, capitalism, and sexual politics. This operatic production draws on the subversive energy of 1920s Berlin cabaret and the vibrant tradition of Yiddish revue, blending music, satire, and political theatre in a boundary-pushing exploration of form.
