Today was my second pop-up at Hello Em Coffee | Little Saigon Creative… and somehow, even after doing so many of these, I still have that mini crash-out moment before I leave the house 🤣
The overthinking, the nerves, the “what if no one comes?” spiral. But every time I show up, it turns out better than whatever fear tried to convince me. (shoutout to boo
@y0ung_m00ks for always pushing me forward in those moments 🥺)
A woman bought over 15 mini scrolls today — each one with a different family member’s Vietnamese name. She lined them up and said, “It feels like I’m looking at my family tree.”
I’ll be holding onto that moment for a long time.
Someone else simply said, “Thank you for doing what you do.”
So soft, so sincere… and it hit my heart instantly.
And what moves me most is this: no matter how old, how young, or what culture someone comes from — somehow Vietnamese calligraphy becomes our meeting point.
A middle ground.
A shared language that connects us back to memory, identity, and home.
Two years into this journey, and I still feel emotional every single time.
It’s been wild, overwhelming, healing, and so full of hope.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you for being part of this path. 💛✨
As always, big thanks to
@flsseattle @littlesaigoncreative &
@helloem.seattle for creating a space for my art.
