I finally learned How to make Ghana Jollof Rice and it’s easy.
Slide 2: The beautifully cooked Jollof. Yum yum 😋
Slide 3-4: The veggie prep (we used carrots, green bell peppers, kpakshito (green rodo for Nigerian) and sausage.
Slide 5: Boiled chicken. This was done while the veggies were being prepped. For spice we used a mix of Kivo and Onga spices.
Slide 6-7: The making of the stew for the Jollof. The stew was primarily—Gino paste, some spices mentioned above and onions.
Slide 8: Adding the rice into the stew
Slide 9: Letting it stem for some minutes (this was done on low heat)
Slide 10: After letting the rice steam we added the chicken stock and some water.
Slide 11-12: Added the veggies, starting with the sausage first then others.
Slide 13: Fried the chicken 🍗
Slide 14: Served with eggs (the Ghanian way) 👌🏾😋
