for some reason i couldn’t help but to gravitate towards these vending machines everywhere i went.
they succumb to their surroundings, yet they’re a beacon, a lighthouse for everyone who passes by. they linger into your peripherals. you notice them and yet you are numb to them. they’re remnants of the city’s thoughts. it’s a strange feeling that you feel somewhat safe passing by each one.
of all the stories they hear, the excitement, the energy they receive, the sadness, the happiness __ maybe it’s reciprocated, maybe it’s symbiotic, maybe they wonder about the next time they’ll see you again. or maybe it will never happen again.
2024. much love to the world, to familiar and unfamiliar moments, to family/friends i get to see often and new faces i’ve been fortunate enough to begin remembering, to the charming sky i am privileged enough to enjoy.
