Had a great time at @oceanologyintl having some great opportunity chats with the lovely people at #TELEngineering and @enshoresubsea and shopping for some new tech at #AshteadTechnology, @hydramec_offshore and #conceptcables. Never known a show with so much beer flowing! 🍻 #subsea #engineering #londonexcel

A big thank you to Tom and Grant of @sheffieldfabrications for inviting us to watch @sheffieldunited host @liverpoolfc at Bramhall Lane. Our Director Mat Braithwaite and Senior Engineer @luke_soanes thoroughly enjoyed the stadium tour, delicious food and beer and especially the heated seats! #PremierLeague #engineering #warmbum

Being agile and having the ability to pivot quickly is invaluable. When a free-issued component turned up with additional features not detailed on the drawing, we could quickly hand-scan the local geometry on-site, update the model, rerun the calcs and add the necessary gussets and stiffeners without holding up the manufacturing project plan. #agile #engineering #creaform

We asked AI image generator Midjourney to /describe a hand-drawn concept sketch we produced a few years ago, and then fed that description back into Midjourney as a prompt, and this is just one of the images it created #engineering #ai #starwars

It's been all hands on deck over here at Brier over the last few months, but we've still been able to find some downtime to catch-up and regroup. 2023 is already shaping up to be our most exciting yet! The team has been Axe throwing and Go-Karting. The latter was a great way to welcome Mark Harris into the Brier family. Account admin Nathan thinks it should be Go-Karting every month (he was fastest!) #poleposition #bullseye

We had a very special visitor to Brier HQ on Friday! #Santa stopped by to discuss with us some ideas he's had for modifications to his #Sleigh. Here we are in the concept development phase, considering his key requirements. Is there anything you think we've forgotten to consider? Let us know in the comments below! #NetZeroSanta #ulezexempt

It's #nationalengineeringday, so what better time to announce a website update!? We've had some great new additions to the Brier team since our About page was last updated. Luke, Zdenek and Nathan now have their own bio's! Check them out on our website! (Link in bio)

Nathan was our man on the ground scoping out Thursday's North West Route to Net Zero summit. Dan Gould from Rolls Royce SMR (Small Modular Reactors) presented the potential for the technology and the benefits of these systems compared to traditional nuclear power stations. Ashleigh Gray from Octopus Energy highlighted two of their projects designed to help local communities realise the benefits of having wind turbines in their area: Plots for Kilowatts and the "Fan Club". She discussed how support for renewable energy projects increases when locals have a tangible benefit. David Parkin from Progressive Energy took us through an introduction to HyNet. This project aims to provide low-carbon energy for hard-to-abate sectors in the North West through the creation and distribution of Hydrogen. He discussed the use of CCS and how Blue Hydrogen can be a vehicle to get us ready for the expansion of Green Hydrogen. #greenhydrogen #ccs #bluehydrogen #community #justtransition

We love #renewable energy here at Brier - almost half the team own an EV! Our owners Mat and Will have a shared interest in EV conversions and our workshop is currently home to Will's new side project: a Series 2A Land Rover! The first job to be done is to disassemble and scan each part using our 3D Scanner. This will be quite the transformation! #EVconversion #ev #sideproject
