Florals? for spring? Groundbreaking! lol But hey, I enjoy being surrounded by these beautiful creatures so much, I could never resist another project with some florals involved. Our new editorial work with @aurelie_graillot is out. Every product image got its own behind the scenes shot, so beautiful I am not even sure which ones are mains vs. Bts to be honest

Leaving my ft job, I had this itch to do a shoot with no shot list, no rigid concept. Just to make something Aurelie @aurelie_graillot and I genuinely love. I’ve spent years in editorial, I’m a flower girl (summers at a country house meant endless bouquets from my little garden), and I’ve always loved collages (back in the day, it was my hobby). That’s why this mixed media project is so special to me. Let’s do more of the things we love. St. Valentine’s Day feels like the appropriate reminder. Robert Mapplerthorpe’s Tulip with anemones; W mag by Tim Walker + poppies; CN Traveler with parrot tulips. And some backstage of course

Celebrating the 6th birthday of the best pup in the world. I had to go find one of my most favorite photos of her as a a puppy - it was her first time out on the street, she went to have some water at the Blue Bottle (of course!). When we got Indie I cried a lot thinking I had made the biggest mistake (iykyk puppies are cute but annoying), turns out I made one of the best decisions of in my life and now she is my best friend. The smartest, goofiest and sassy fluff ball in the world.

Celebrating today 10 years in New York in a new status of being a citizen. I always felt like New York was meant to happen to me. When we were on one of the first date nights with my then boyfriend, now husband, he asked me if I were to move somewhere, where would that be? And I said “New York of course!” I’d never been to NYC but I felt like I already knew the city and it’s pure magic (blame movies and music for that!). In 2016 I packed our life in Kyiv and moved to NYC. I’ve shared enough about how hard it was to start a new life in a new country, but despite all of the challenges * it looks like we made it * (“We mighta took the long way, we knew we’d get there someday”). 10 years after New York is still the one. I love it and I am grateful it chose me 😊

Part two of the editorial floral story we shot with @aurelie_graillot . I cannot get over the red anemones behind-the-scenes shot and will most likely print it out and hand on a wall 😊

I didn’t realize how much I needed this @flamingo_estate book. It sounds cheesy af (sorry!) but while reading through it, I saw myself reflected in Richard’s story. “The path from being lost to finding genuine joy through reconnecting with nature” - literally my recipe for recovery, although I don’t have my “upstate estate” (yet). “Natures moves us towards appreciation”. I could not agree more. The book is beautiful (and not just visually), it is a true guide of how to feel alive again. It’s reassuring. It’s inspiring. It’s what I feel like I (and all of us) need these days. “Drop your leaves and reset like a plum tree” is one of my favorite secrets from the garden. I feel like I’m ready for the spring and for what’s coming this year (see 2nd photo for this year motto)

Part 2 of our break. With a ton of reading, walking, just doing nothing in front of the fireplace, cooking (roasted duck as per usual, and caviar of course).
