In another life, I would have wanted to be in an orchestra, performing and teaching cello. This summer came close to that lifestyle - filled with four different band practices and performances. It was so much more fun with some of my fiercest supporters (aka fans). I treasure them so much. Oh, and we even made it to the title page of the photobooth app for the event 😎

YAY 100K views!! I was so skeptical when @trus_sojung suggested I do the interview for her channel. What if no one watches it!? What if I get hate comments!? What if I become famous!? But of course I said yes. Because why not. (Spoiler: I did not become famous. Also spoiler: I did not get hate comments.) It was a whole process: interview preps, creating a story arc, shooting, being directed, post-shoot drinks in Seongsu. It was super fun, and by the end, I was like, I could do this again..! This year has been a wild ride so far, and it’s still going. It’s been so so sweet, and I’m here for it. 앤드앤 6개월을 마치고 소정님은 나를 세상 밖으로 꺼내주고 싶다며 인터뷰를 요청했고, 나는 흠칫했다. 응? 내가 무슨 말을 해야 하지? 한국은 미국과 너무 달랐다. 난 말만 할 줄 아는 외계인마냥 눈을 똥그랗게 뜨고 신기해했다. 내 이야기를 한국 사람들이 어떻게 받아들일지 상상이 안 됐다. 그래서 전날 밤까지 난 언제든 “노”를 할 요량이었다. @zzan.boo 짠부님의 센스 있는 디렉팅은 내 쓸데없는 걱정들을 삭제시켰다. (능력 있는 피디의 중요성은 정말이지 아무리 강조해도 지나치지 않다.) 그렇게 달성한 10만뷰..! 세상 밖으로 한 발짝 나갔을 뿐인데 내가 모르던 문이 활짝 열렸다.

First photo was taken during the final rehearsal at the Swedish Hall two weeks go. When I started taking bass lessons 6 years ago, I had no idea that I would be here, playing 41 Sundays for the past 12 months during the pandemic. I should have gotten better at it but I'm not sure about that. But that's okay. It was probably the only reason I stuck around in the ghost city that SF was. Second photo was taken in February. You can see how bundled up I am. I will never forget how bone chilling cold it was in Swedish (at 55 degrees). The last one was taken during our recorded broadcast times last year. We had no clue what was about to happen. It was a load of fun.

Absolutely adore Mexico and her kind kind people. It was a timely retreat from craziness of normality. ❤️ 🇲🇽
